Allow Wilson Steele to partner with your corporation to manage an open and transparent approach to optimize your project goals and objectives. From single market to multi-market requirements, Wilson Steele’s experience can help navigate and customize the location screening process. Our consultation process focuses on the following key Phases:
Phase I - Alignment
For the project process to proceed seamlessly, the project team must fully assign on critical objectives including team composition, operational requirements, chain of decision making, project assumptions, geographic scope, location criteria and timeline.
Phase II - Location Analysis
The universe of opportunities are sequentially vetted through the analytical filters created in the Alignment Phase including but not limited to population and labor force trends, labor cost analysis, education access, talent pool depth, cost-of-living and quality of life factors. Request For Information (RFI) is provided to local and state municipalities examining labor trends, infrastructure capabilities, incentives, taxation, and other qualitative and quantitative factors. Scorecard rankings set for the finalist locations to be “shortlisted” for final analysis and review based on overall feasibility and cost.
Phase III – Site Review
Physical tours are established for the shortlisted sites to assess full details including building review, utility infrastructure and access, transportation (public and private) including face to face meetings with Economic Development, Chamber of Commerce, Zoning and Planning and Building Departments which further interviews of other peer corporate use HR and operational contacts. Final non-binding incentive offers are received and vetted.
Phase IV – Selection
Final site is selected with final incentive negotiations and real estate related negotiations being completed. Coordination with local municipalities, internal and external client contacts for market messaging and communications ongoing.
